Grey day, pretty anyway

Tommy : "No comment"
Grey day and burning bush. Proof that we do get dull weather as well as the pretty stuff. I love the autumn colours. Hectic week - when I'd set it up to be calm cos of the new pain relief doses. New fridge - at last. Ruth took off the doors and turned them the right way round - with a little help from me holding and fetching things. New helper this week too - another lovely lady, just yet more explanations. Joanna had low level asthma and so forgot to take some pain and night meds - in a pickle this morning. However much stuff we avoid eating we're still putting on weight - but exercise makes the pain worse. Not sure where we're going on this one :-(
White leaf

Tree melting into a golden puddle.

Plenty of water in the river. After the big rain we could hear it from the flat :-)

  1. Have you tried the small plate trick? You can eat what you want but the portions are smaller.

Love that white leaf, so surreal

  2. We're using the plastic picnic plates at the mo cos we were breaking things again :-) Yes we have smaller portions. Ruth has had to cut out all fat and dairy, icecream, chocolate, breakfast cereal etc cos of her gall bladder and intolerance; i've cut out all sugar for a year cos of the diabetes; my activity levels went up over the summer while i was in remission; some days joanna struggles to eat; but we're still all piling it on. j i know the cortisone megga didn't help. Seems to be yet another thing that gets topsy turvy with this illness.

  3. I can sympathise with the gall bladder problem. When I had those troubles, you could wave a chocolate bar under my nose and I wouldn't give in, the thought of the pain was more than the enjoyment of eating chocolate.

Do you ever eat probiotic stuff like kefirs and yoghurts? Sometimes they can help get the body into a healthier frame of mind so to speak.

  4. I eat yogs. Ruth can barely eat any dairy at the mo. Good news she'd stopped weighing herself but did yesterday and found she's lost 6 kilos.
