dog walk 2

why do they like this plant ? it's the only one with these stripy insects all over

now this plant is covered with snails.

green box - i call this the sorting hat tree. and in purple that's my bedroom window

all the plants are in a sad state. very few flowers

holly hocks looking a bit threadbare

i do love the mullin, very cheering, - but looking rather sparse

this knobbly trunk caught my eye - still sprouting life

despite the heat the river has not quite dried up this year

i love this tree

the view from my bench up the digue, the river bank

view from my bench down the digue

dog walk 1

these cheer me up - love this blue. looking a bit worn out at the mo

fair as a star when only one is shining in the sky

tommy, ginger and i

well, at least something is thriving

this is the house where i asked a lady if she was ok once, now often she waits and pretends to be opening the shutters and smiles and waves

this is the house where the parrot lives. in the warm weather they put the birds out on the balcony early in the morning and on my way past when it whistles and chats i whistle back. have had a rather fruitless attempt to teach it happy birthday. it does a selection of dog whistles - well it is right where people walk their dogs :-)

beautiful gnarly old thing

where would we be without the laurier rose in summer - it flowers for months and makes sure there's a bit of colour

little and large

mediterranean pine. love the light against the stormy sky

this is my bench

our flat.

new settee covers

new covers on the settee. new tip up chair on the left. all the elephants have names - annabel, barbara, catherine with a c, diedrie, edith, françoise, giselle, henriette, isabelle, jemima, katherine with a k, lucy, matilda, .... actually they tend to change periodically :-)

my new corner for sitting at the computer. note the pink dragonflies. shame i have to share the room with the laundry, cant be helped :-)

new office corner. all moved out of living room now, whew. notice the ever present ginger biscuit, she follows me every where.

yes this was a hamster cage but had things growing in it. we cleared the balcony and swept up all the dead leaves etc. then ginger biscuit found the nice box of soil and had a wonderful time digging. have had to sweep all over again and put the lid on for the mo.

the apricot tree that grew in the compost is doing it's thing. got 2 more trees growing in this years compost. will have to plant them out soon. "the things i sow, so rarely grow, i'm very disenchanted. but oh what luck,i have with stuff, i never even planted."
