pics

dog. using sheaf stitch amongst others. finding sewing less tiring than sitting in front of the computer. uses less brain i think. and less draining on the eyes.

adaptation of linked double chain stitch. mixed threads grey with white. very quick to do but got to number 3 on the weeks posts on the website "stitchin fingers". rather pleased with myself.

from cousin penny's facebook page. auntie joan's 90th birthday. with cousin angela.  beautifully colour coordinated !

ginger biscuit. i'm so cute i couldn't possibly do any mischief could i !

grass !

the grass is growing again already

loaded with conkers. then in autumn they are just left on the ground - would never have been left when i was a kid !

interesting use of a screwdriver. note also the old tiles where the birds nest and in the background on the left the new style of tiling that the birds cant get under
another pic of the sorting hat tree

do you notice anything odd about this tree ? all the older trees on the river bank are the same. the trunks are very short. most odd. well actually the reason is that in the early nineties the river eygues flooded and so the mairie rebuilt the river bank much higher than before. but there was a lovely line of trees along the old river bank. what to do ? they built the embankment up round them - very canny !
